I've invented something wonderful.
It's this tiny, red button
That you install near your temple
And if my calculations are correct
I can press it and forget everything.
And you could be that boy
Who looks pretty when he smiles.
And I could just dismiss you
As a side-effect of the medication,
Like nothing ever happened.
I could teach myself the cello,
All over again like I'd never known.
I would play for marbles,
And melted snowflakes.
It could be wonderful, you know.
Besides, what else have I got to do?
The world looks so shiny
Now that I don't know your name.
It's like being blinded
By the absence of a sun.
